Nick Diaz: The Pioneer Blazer of a Movement

Funny little political circus they are stimulating in the combat sports arena these days. Using the fighter Nick Diaz as the poster boy for guilt and humiliation for using marijuana. It's too late though – we are now in a process of forward evolution in a changing conscious movement for the benefits and medicinal purposes of marijuana. Let's just face it, most all of us have been exposed or experimented with it. Some of us can't do without it. I know teachers, doctors and military very personally who smoke for the benefits that marijuana gives them. I know some that do even harder drugs and they are still very functional citizens and still damn good at what they do in their profession. This is a new era we live in and people now have a better understanding at what the marijuana benefits are.

Does the Nevada athletic commission seem to somehow believe that marijuana builds muscle and promotes athletic performance? How do you take away someone's livelihood for smoking a naturally growing plant that has so many great and beneficial healing properties for the human body? In this backwards society it's somehow more accepted for him to binge drink at a bar and destroy his liver than to take a puff of a plant that relaxes you and maybe gives you the urge to have the munchies. That's not legal, yet alcohol kills more people than cocaine and marijuana combined. Or is it because the doctors, or what I like to call the "drug pushers for the government," in Nevada don't have a proper monopoly on it yet and there is no actual way to tax it?

The next question is: Does Dana White have a personal vendetta against Nick Diaz? Does the commission get their little cut under the table from this egotistical Nazi promoter? This is strictly political and could even be a personal attack on this man's character. Ask yourself how this man that has put his ass on the line for your entertainment deserves to get 5 years. All this when other MMA fighters get a slap on the wrist for the use of cocaine and steroids. Have you ever once had the experience or even attempted a career of entering the ring or octagon to fight for your life? Could you imagine the courage and discipline of a full-time career at this gladiator sport? You wouldn't be able to take the discipline, dedication or mental toughness to last one week with these warriors of men.

Well, let me tell you this... You endure training 3 times a day for months at a time until the climax of fighting. You end up breaking down your body so much physically and emotionally. The anxiety and stress that builds in your mind with the emotions are relentless. You're a modern day gladiator with no real way of coming down from the adrenaline and stress your body creates and mind endures. Massages, yoga and meditation can only go so far. Especially when you can't move out of bed to get to the fridge. I know fighters that actually resorted to smoking crack for Gods sake because marijuana wasn't strong enough for the physical and emotional pain. Somehow these men were still able to PERFORM which was beyond me. Their secret will always die with me. This is a tragic ending for a man that just so happens to smoke a plant that is becoming widely popular and accepted in the mainstream and with some states even legalizing it for recreational use. You actually give this man a 5-year ban from his way of livelihood?

This is insanity on so many different disturbing levels and it's all the direct politics of this dictator they call Dana White. The man that claimed he wasn't like the other old school boxing promoters is proving himself to be far worse. You mean he couldn't take the time to show up and defend Nick who has made this man millions of dollars while in reality Nick probably got a generous 5% of those earnings? These guys are treated like 3rd rate athletes in the UFC. It's an utter disgrace. Now the athletes are being criminalized for smoking marijuana that is shown to have actual health benefits? Harder drugs such as alcohol, steroids and cocaine are a lesser penalty? Who were these people on the board that gave this horrendous unforgiving sentence? A bunch of sheep herding Amish pilgrims that just entered the 21st century? Something stinks in this unfair hearing and everyone knows it's wrong. It's an old dying idea against a powerful youth of growing consciousness.

The movement is growing in legalizing a very helpful medicinal drug nationwide. We live in a society where you are bombarded daily on television with ads for legalized prescription drugs. Do you realize that half of the commercials airtime are warnings about the side effects that could harm, impair or even cause you to commit suicide? That's okay in this society because we are so far removed and disconnected to what is real anymore. The problems are with these politicians that are greedy psychopaths and are passing these absurd laws tomake money for themselves hand over fist from pharmaceutical lobbyists. What Nick did was simply smoke a naturally growing herbal plant for his stress and anxiety. It's not even a performance drug. It's a drug that relieves the mental pressures of fighting and dulls the pain of everyday training. Would you rather him get a prescription for painkillers or drown himself in alcohol? I guess as long as a doctor prescribes it and it can be taxed then it gets the thumbs up.

I'm losing respect for boxing and MMA altogether. The laws and guidelines by the men and women creating these ridiculous standards are becoming a full blown insanity. They have no idea what it's like to put their body in dangers way in the ring or octagon. Having no understanding or clue of the heart and mental strength it takes on a daily basis. This is atravesty, but it's not a travesty against Nick. It's a travesty against the corrupt system that we as a growing conscious community can see more clearly by the day. It's a corrupt system run by money and politics. We as a people are waking up and we can't be controlled anymore by dinosaur thinking.

Nick should fight again in the UFC and if not, then his name is big enough to be big in any other arena outside this country and the UFC. America has now become the land of the fascist corporate dictators that get paid off and pay off everyone below them. It is fast becoming a distant memory of the past with our evolving patriotic consciousness. The days are now numbered for this intolerable treatment by these scumbags. It's an old idea on its way to the grave. I believe Nick Diaz will return to another fighting arena and be looked at as an unapologetic pioneer blazer (no pun intended). I also advise other MMA fighters to do the same before they start making you wear corporate uniforms and take away your sponsorships. Oh wait... Too late. We are now starting to see the UFC as a slavery corporation no different than any other. Soon Dana White will be paying the fighters minimum wage if he can get away with it.

The Most Interesting Man in the World

Not long ago I was walking down Hollywood Boulevard laughing with some buddies after catching a good buzz, when all of a sudden this black, homeless man looked at me right dead in the eyes and pulled my attention. Like a deer in headlights, I couldn't look away. It wasn't an uncomfortable feeling; I would describe it more as a feeling of a familiar past connection somehow making a resurgence and re-connection. Like someone I knew, but never met on this earthly realm of existence. As if our soul energy had recognized each other for just that brief instant. Such a strange and captivating feeling.

As I kept walking with my eyes locked on his, I couldn't resist this strange curiosity to go up and introduce myself. Actually meet this man that brought so much strange familiarity to me. Like a tractor beam I started to walk his way and away from the group. My friends started yelling and laughing at me while asking me where I was going. I ignored them completely and ran over to the corner to meet him.

As I approached I saw him sitting on his filthy blanket and wondered how this he could have such a familiar and captivating energy about him. As I got closer, he started to grin and said, "Hello brother, I knew you were going to come and see me." I reached out my hand and introduced myself, but no introduction was needed. We somehow knew each other. And the strangeness didn't end there. I gasped a little and said, "Well, you got my attention." I couldn't help but notice the sadness that life had put upon his eyes. I decided at that moment that my friends could wait until I figured out this odd situation, so I took a seat right next to him on his filthy blanket while not giving a care in the world.

As I sat down I said, "Give me your story." He looked over at me with a deep, saddened glare and began telling me his story –- a story that will remain between him and myself forever. As the minutes went by unnoticed, I listened with complete attention and captivation by this man's true wisdom. He truly was an old soul with mountains of knowledge to offer. As he shared his personal story with me, we both had tears in our eyes. I've never met someone that I bonded with so quickly and yet we were both from two completely different walks of life.

I felt such an immense compassion for this human being who was so intelligent yet philosophical in his understandings on his own situation in life. He hadn't the normal desires or cravings of a common man. He understood life. He seemed to get it although strange to us, he knew why he was here. An incredible insight. He understood he was on his own journey in this small blip of time in this three dimensional reality.

We like to call this experience "life" and we call ourselves "human beings" on a planet that's hurling through space that we conveniently call "Earth." It happens to be home to billions of our species battling with each unique challenges. Except, somewhere beyond space and time there is also a home. A more important one. One that he calls the great home for our souls. He understood that the most important things in life are not things. The most important things in life is the air you breath, the feeling of the warm sun on your face, a person you love, and the human relationships you develop in this life, even if it's just to bond with someone for a mere 20 minutes, as was in my case.

This man was completely comfortable in his own skin or body, or as he would say, "My body is just the house for my soul to learn throughout this brief human experience." He preferred to be off the system and grid. He doesn't have a cell phone or check emails. He doesn't use the Internet nor watch television. He believes in human interaction and loves to people watch. Lol–- that's basically what he gets a kick out of. He loves to watch souls interact with one another. That's his favorite past time and he has a front-row seat. He has recognized the insanity in running the rat race, pounding the pavement and working for the machine. He has decided to work for God as just an observer. He needs nothing else. He wasn't an alcoholic or a drug user. He seemed to be fairly healthy, but I did notice he was lonely. He didn't have a family. They all passed away in a car accident years ago and now he was alone. Painfully alone I would imagine.

He was once a proud working man who provided for his wife and children. He lost the endurance for the race once they departed into the next existence. No need to keep up with the Joneses anymore. He doesn't blame God. He seems to understand it's all part of his journey. He preferred to now call himself a naturalist or a simpleton. Probably much like Jesus would be if he were walking the earth today.

I also had a chance to share my horrific story of almost dying and the traumatic events that followed afterwards with my personal grief and sadness. I explained how I view life much different and somewhat like he does now. I'll never forget the grin on his face after I told my story. He said, "Welcome back home brother." I began to weep and he put his arm around me and all of a sudden my sadness lifted. I couldn't help but think how we both crossed paths in our intersecting journeys for some reason.

As I kept on speaking with him I couldn't help but notice how we both somehow became invisible to the hustle and bustle of people. As if the only real time people looked at us was to step around us and look back with a face of shame or spiteful distaste. I couldn't help but look at people in a new perspective. They were the ones with the real lost souls. They have forgotten who they were and I had the chance to see the world through his eyes, if only for a fleeting moment. It was a moment of clarity. It somehow made me very sad inside for humanity.

I asked him how he felt about how people viewed him and looked down on him. He grinned and said, "We are all just one energy and I'm just a reflection of what they don't want to see in themselves." That response was so genuine and prophetic. I asked to hold his hand and said a prayer with my old friend. As we talked a bit more, I decided it was time for me to move forth with my journey. I got up to begin my first step and at that time he looked up at me and said, "Thank you my brother." I gave him the last few bucks I had in my pocket hoping to help him along his journey. I wished him well for the time being or until our paths cross once again. I thought, Who knows? Maybe in the next life or reality, I'll be thathomeless man in that same situation.

As I walked away I wiped tears from my eyes because I knew at that moment it was priceless. You see, I've had the rare opportunity to associate myself with the very rich and also narcissistic celebrities; but I've never taken anything away of substance from them like I did from this one man who appeared to have nothing –– at least nothing on the outside, but inside was gold and diamonds. Nothing came even close to this kind of nurturing substance a homeless, grief-stricken man gave me.

What an honor to be in such a great man's presence. I'm compelled to remind you as well as myself that the next time you pass a homeless man or woman on the street, please stop briefly and think what would happen if the tables were turned and you had to walk just one day in their shoes. You see, not all people are blessed on the exterior with material things. Some are blessed on the inside and here to test humanity's compassion. Some are far more rich than we perceive them to be. Some people actually have souls made of gold and we pass them everyday on the street. The human experience is not about disconnecting or losing touch; it's about connecting and reconnecting by helping each other and showing compassion. The greatest prophets taught us that, but we still fail to listen. It's the only thing that is real.

Time to Make That Change

You feel it... Everyone feels it. That feeling of bracing for what's next to come. People go along with their normal, everyday lives out of habit with that blank stare or even glazed over their eyes.

I call this the zombie effect. Everybody knows we are in dire times and in serious trouble. We just don't talk about it. It's too uncomfortable of a feeling to face or digest. We are on the brink of so many historic events, such as a economic collapse, the deterioration of our society, which comes with hatred, violence, and perversion. The crumbling of our religious institutions, racial violence and tension, horrific mass shootings; we can hear the beating of the drums of war, pornography has become for many the main stream life. Now we learn 37 million supposedly happy marriages are cheating on Ashley Madison. It seems there is no end in sight. Well, I'm here to tell you it doesn't have to be this way.

Main stream media promotes this and it's an actual agenda. They want to lower our vibration as a society to a dull and dense frequency. This is a tool that is used by tyrannical governments so the masses are more easily controlled. This is a war on us and our sanity. It's all part of the brain washing and control-with-fear tactic they use as a very powerful tool. As we the people watch more of the news and surf horrific events on the internet, we become inundated and desensitized. Just like the food you put in your body, so are the images you feed your brain. It becomes your main course of reality so to speak. The people that control our financial institutions and political system and religious institutions also control our media. This is done at the very top and they know how to use this as a very powerful tool against the people for mass control. We as a people are a direct threat in mass numbers, so they must lead and guide us through fear. They are in danger of us waking up out of our controlled paranoia and apathy and seeing our reality for what it is: A grand illusion of lies.

You can use any excuse you want through the tactic of fear to take away rights, guns, and createillegal wars. They accomplish this by playing it like a broken record on the mainstream media and you fall hypnotically into it. People will happily march towards socialism and communism if they feel their safety is at risk. Fear is a very powerful tool because it spreads like a virus in the minds of otherwise rational thinking adults.

A solution? I recommend you get back to reading books and spending time with your family. Maybe help in community service. Turn off the internet and your television set and please go breathe life again. Go get to know your neighbors and walk your dog. Smile and say "hello" to others. And go give thanks to God for another beautiful day in his kingdom. God bless
